Like the perfect pairing, the City of Farmers Branch and Roots Southern Table have partnered together for one special night of great music and great food…and everyone is invited!

As part of the Denton Drive Live! outdoor concert series, presented by our own Farmers Branch Advance Dental, this month we’re getting a little spicy with it as we combine two great events in one for the perfect night in Farmers Branch. Come out for a community crawfish boil made from the hands of James Beard award-winning chef Tiffany Derry and the team at Roots Southern Table. For her having a crawfish boil is how family and friends come together, so it makes sense to make it bigger and better by opening it up for everyone to enjoy!
Best of all, Roots Southern Table will be donating a portion of its sales on this day to the Youth Scholarship Fund for the Summer Funshine Program hosted by the City of Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center!

Haven’t had crawfish before? No problem, you’ll have lots of help with the best ways to crack them open all while also biting into potatoes, corn on the cob, and more all with that Cajun taste! Still hungry or crawfish not your thing? No worries, there is also banana pudding and slushies from Tikiz Shaved Ice!
Just don’t forget to get your tickets for crawfish now…they’re limited! And while we will be selling tickets at the door, when it’s gone, it’s gone!

It’s not just what we’re eatin’ at Denton Drive Live - it’s also the music! Nothing goes better with crawfish than some real-deal Zydeco! And we have the best…the Grammy-winning Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band plus Jean-Pierre and the Zydeco Angels will get us all movin’ when the music starts at 6:15 pm!
Considered “The World’s Premier Zydeco Showman,” Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band have been keeping the tradition of Zydeco music alive for more than 30 years. At just 10 years old, Chubby started playing the drums in a band and since then has been traveling the world to share the tradition of Zydeco with the masses. In 2010 Chubby was recognized for all his work when he won the 2010 Grammy Award for “Best Zydeco or Cajun Album” and the following year was inducted into the Louisiana Hall of Fame.

Experience a little bit of NOLA right in the Branch with a modern twist of Cajun from Jean-Pierre and the Zydeco Angels! Playing across the U.S. for more than 35 years, this dynamic band will kick off the night’s music.
And what’s the perfect recipe for an even better night? It’s you + your friends and family playing games all night under the stars served with an extra helpin’ of memories.
